About Church of Christ – 4th & Chew
Our aim is simple: to be nothing more and nothing less than the church you read about in the New Testament, following the pattern of Christ and His apostles in all things.
Mission & Teaching Philosophy
We believe the Bible is the inspired, all-sufficient word of God. Our preaching and teaching emphasize careful, contextual study of Scripture, application to everyday life, and the call to obey the gospel.
History of the Congregation
Rooted in the city of Philadelphia, the 4th & Chew congregation has long sought to be a light in the community, standing for New Testament Christianity, reverent worship, and genuine fellowship among believers.
Statement of Biblical Beliefs
- The Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God and our only rule for faith and practice.
- Salvation is by the grace of God through obedient faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8–10).
- There is one church, the body of Christ, to which all the saved are added (Acts 2:47).
- We worship according to the New Testament pattern with simplicity and reverence.
- We speak where the Bible speaks and are silent where the Bible is silent.
Minister: Bro. Reginald Young
Bro. Young serves the congregation through expository preaching, personal Bible studies, and careful shepherding of souls. His emphasis is on helping every member grow in knowledge, conviction, and Christlike character.
Teaching focus: "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God" (Ephesians 4:13).

From new Bible students to seasoned Christians, our goal is to equip every soul to handle the Scriptures carefully and confidently.
